SARAJEVO, Sept 14 (Hina) - A delegation of the Croatian National
Parliament on Monday welcomed the efforts made by the Organisation
for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in scheduling the
holding of last weekend's general elections in Bosnia.
The delegation, which at OSCE's invitation monitored the
elections, also warned about oversights which occurred in the pre-
electoral and electoral period.
A statement the delegation issued on Monday regrets the "negative
words about some parties uttered by the head of the OSCE mission (to
Bosnia) Robert Barry on the eve of the elections."
The delegation warned that despite long preparations, voter lists
were surprisingly muddled and incomplete. The fact that ballots
were to be filled in with pencils which may easily be erased made
voters suspect there might be a possibility that their trust be
abused.
The Croatian parliamentary delegation hoped OSCE would schedule
next year's municipal elections in a better way.
