BUDAPEST, Sept 22 (Hina) - Croatian Railways on Tuesday offered
Hungary the use of two hundred of its special wagons in order to
assist with the speedier transport of Hungarian wheat for export to
the Croatian port in Rijeka.
Croatian Railways Director Marijan Klaric and Hungarian Railways
Director Istvan Sipos agreed in Budapest on Tuesday that a
container train would travel from Rijeka, through Zagreb, on to
Budapest once a week, also branching off towards Bratislava.
Representatives of the two railway companies signed an agreement on
the leasing of three electric locomotives from Croatia, to serve on
the Hungarian fast track between Budapest and Vienna.
Klaric said he and his Hungarian counterpart also discussed future
cooperation in the transport of goods for Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He said that next year a regular passenger line would be opened
between the Hungarian capital to the Adriatic coast through Bosnia
(Budapest - Osijek - Sarajevo - Mostar - Ploce).
