VIENNA, Sept 21 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges on
Monday met about 40 Croatian businessmen working and living in
Austria at Croatia's Embassy in Vienna.
Porges, heading a Croatian delegation at this year's annual
conference of the International Agency for Atomic Energy, spoke
about Croatia's economy, the privatisation process, and the
promotion of and assistance in export.
He pointed out accelerated foreign investments into Croatia as one
of the priorities in Croatia's economic policy, adding Croats
living and working outside Croatia could assist in that.
"The recession movements in the world will not particularly affect
Croatian economy, but there will be indirect influences", Porges
said in answer to questions from the Croatian businessmen.
The Economy Minister also said Austria was a very significant
market for Croatia and the fourth in foreign trade exchange.
Also in attendance was Croatia's Ambassador to Austria Ivan Ilic.
