SISAK, Sept 20 (Hina) - A new school building replacing its war-
damaged predecessor was officially opened on Sunday in Crnac, a
suburb in the southern industrial zone of the central Croatian town
of Sisak.
The Croatian Reconstruction and Development Ministry invested a
million kuna (about $161,000) in the school's reconstruction.
The official opening ribbon was cut by retired Army General Janko
Bobetko, chairman of the Croatian House of Representatives' War
Veterans Committee, who instigated the school's reconstruction.
He said that the best investments that could be made were in the
education and schooling of children.
Croatian Education Minister Bozidar Pugelnik was also in
attendance at the official opening ceremony.
