SARAJEVO, Sept 17 (Hina) - The special United States envoy for the
territory of the former Yugoslavia, Robert Gelbard, on Thursday
arrived in Sarajevo without any prior announcement.
According to sources close to the US Embassy in Sarajevo, Gelbard
arrived in the Bosnian capital for talks and consultations on last
weekend's general elections in the country.
Only three days ago in Sarajevo Gelbard headed a special
presidential delegation monitoring the elections.
Thursday's front page of Sarajevo daily paper "Oslobodjenje"
quoted unnamed sources as saying that Gelbard's new mission in
Sarajevo was "in relation to the possible opening of a Hague dossier
on (the Serb member in Bosnia's collective Presidency) Momcilo
Krajisnik".
This information has not been confirmed by any diplomats in
Sarajevo.
