ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - The Croatian President's Chief-Of-Staff
Hrvoje Sarinic on Friday received a delegation of the Democratic
Association of Vojvodina Croats (DSHV).
The delegation, including DSHV vice-presidents Bela Tonkovic,
Antun Skenderovic and Josip Sabic, informed Sarinic of the
inadequate position of Croats in Vojvodina and the entire Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia.
Sarinic emphasised that a bilateral agreement with Yugoslavia will
recognise the status of Vojvodina Croats as a minority, the
President's Office reported.
Croatia is determined to implement its constitutional obligation
on overall care of Croats living outside of Croatia, Sarinic noted.
However, this is possible only if Croats in Vojvodina and
Yugoslavia stay united, he pointed out.
Also present at the meeting were presidential advisor on foreign
affairs Neven Madey and Sarinic's deputy, Vesna Skare Ozbolt.
