MOSTAR, Sept 2 (Hina) - An agreement on the continuation of
establishing a joint Croat-Moslem police in the Herzegovina-
Neretva Canton has been reached during talks in Mostar on
Wednesday.
Bosnian Federation Interior Minister and his deputy, Mehmed Zilic
and Jozo Leutar, held a meeting with the Interior Minister of the
Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Valentin Coric, and his deputy Sefkija
Dziho, on security issues in the canton.
Zilic told reporters that participants in the talks had agreed on
"joint work on uncovering terrorist acts and murders in the Bosnian
Federation".
He said only two cases of murders of Croats in central Bosnia had
been resolved, out of a total of eight cases.
Zilic also announced an action against crime and illegal drugs.
It was agreed at the meeting that police should ensure a freedom of
movement during this month's general elections in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
The talks also focused on the control of border crossings between
Bosnia-Herzegovina and neighbouring countries.
Asked about the Bosniak (Moslem) intelligence agency AID, whose
closing down was requested by Croats, Jozo Leutar said that Robert
Gelbard, a special US envoy for the implementation of the peace
agreement in the country, had asked that the work of intelligence
agencies be legislated.
