ZAGREB, Aug 30 (Hina/IKA) - The president of the Croatian Bishops'
Conference and Archbishop of Zagreb Josip Bozanic on Sunday
received US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
Bozanic and Albright discussed the current situation in Croatia and
the wider region and the role religions have in the world
approaching the third millennium, said a statement from Bozanic's
Office carried by the Catholic Information Agency IKA.
The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Croatia William
Montgomery, State Secretariat special envoy Ambassador James
O'Brien, head vicar of the Zagreb Archdiocese prelate Vladimir
Stankovic, chancellor of the Archdiocesan spiritual table Josip
Veckovic, and father Juraj Jerneic.
