SERBIAN POLICE SEIZE KOSOVO VILLAGE OF GLOGJANE

( Editorial: --> 3344 ) PRISTINA, 13 Aug (Hina) - The Serbian police on Wednesday seized the village of Glogjane (south-east of Decani), one of the most important strongholds of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), the pro- government Media Centre reported yesterday. The police dispersed strong KLA forces in the Glogjane area from where they continually attacked the Serbian police, army and civilians moving along the Decani-Djakovica road. Five Serbian police officers and two soldiers were killed in the clashes and more than a dozen police officers received light or severe wounds, the same source said. The operation has enabled complete normalisation of traffic along the Decani-Djakovica road, the source said. Neither independent nor Kosovo Albanian sources have confirmed this report.
