Shcwartz-Schilling held talks with Bosnian Federation vice- president Vladimir Soljic, prefects and deputy prefects of the Herzegovina-Neretva and Central Bosnian cantons, Zeljko Obradovic, Fatim Leho, Adnan Terzic and Ivan Saric, about the security situation in these two cantons, the work of the municipal offices for the return of refugees and displaced persons, and issues of reconstruction and return. They unanimously condemned the killing of a Travnik police officer and called on a thorough and professional investigation into the crime- We must find and prosecute the perpetrator, otherwise there will be no trust among people in the area, especially among returnees, which could hinder the return of displaced persons, Shcwartz- Schilling said. Police must be relieved of all politics and the stressing of the nationality of police officers must be ignored, the participants of the meeting agreed. Shcwartz-Schilling stressed the importance of solving applications of displaced persons and refugees for the return of property confiscated during the war, which had not been the case in these two cantons.
