SERBS IN BRCKO PROTEST OVER PREPARATIONS FOR RETURN OF DISPLACED

( Editorial: --> 0680 ) BRCKO, July 30 (Hina) - Serbs living in the houses of displaced Muslims and Croats in the suburbs of Brcko on Wednesday blocked the Bijeljina-Brcko-Banja Luka road in protest of the marking of houses to which owners should return. According to Predrag Antic, head of the local committee, no one has anything against the return of Muslims and Croats to their homes in Brcko. There is a problem however as to where to accommodate the great majority of Serb refugees who said they wanted to stay in Brcko, Andric told reporters. The basic demand is for the committee writing down the houses to stop doing so, which is what happened yesterday, he said. Nobody in the commission could say when and if they would resume doing it.
