The above-average rise in temperatures in August ranged between 1.9 degrees Celsius in Daruvar, 120 kilometres east of Zagreb, to 3.8 degrees at Zavizan on Mount Velebit.
The level of precipitation throughout August was below the average.

weather forecast service (DHMZ) reported on Wednesday.
