ZAGREB, June 22 (Hina) - The Support Command of the NATO-led
Stabilisation Force in Zagreb on Monday changed status to SFOR's
Communication Zone Headquarters.
The change was effected by SFOR commander Eric Shinseki.
The commander of the Former Support Command was British Major
General John Milne. The commander of the current Communication Zone
Headquarters is Dutch Major General Fritz Polle, who will command
all SFOR soldiers in Croatia.
The former Support Group coordinated SFOR's logistics operations
and medical support in the region, and acted as representative of
the SFOR main headquarters at the Croatian government.
The logistics centre will now be transferred to Sarajevo in
Bosnia.
SFOR's cooperation with the Croatian government is very successful
and ensures the foundations for the application of the Dayton peace
agreement, Shinseki said.
