BELGIAN BATTALION TAKES OVER PEACE MISSION IN SW BOSNIA

( Editorial: --> 2900 ) LIVNO, June 22 (Hina) - The MALCON 5 Malaysian military unit which has been implementing the peace mission in Herceg-Bosna Canton, south-western Bosnia-Herzegovina, Monday handed duty to a Belgian battalion. Attending the takeover ceremony in Begovaca near Livno were the Malaysian and Belgian ambassadors in BH, high Malaysian and Belgian officials and representatives of cantonal authorities. The Malaysian Ambassador Hussein Nayan said the units of his country had contributed to realising the military provisions of the Dayton peace agreement and had successfully completed their peace task.
