PRISTINA, June 22 (Hina) - Three buses with imprisoned Albanians,
escorted by police vehicles, on Sunday passed through Novi Pazar
(south-east Serbia), reported the Kosovo Information Centre on
Sunday night from Pristina.
The Kosovo Information Centre, referring to sources from the
Bosniak (Muslim) National Council of Sandzak in Novi Pazar, alleges
that the captive Albanians had noticeable wounds on their faces and
heads and when they passed through the town, raised tied hands to
show they were taken prisoner.
The convoy of three buses and police vehicles stopped shortly at the
entry to Novi Pazar because of a fault on one of the buses. At that
time armed police officers prevented citizens getting closer to the
buses, which provoked a revolt among the residents of Novi Pazar,
said the Kosovo Information Centre.
