CROATIA & CHINA SIGN MEMORANDUM ON MILITARY INDUSTRY COOPERATION

( Editorial: --> 2725 ) BEIJING, June 21 (Hina) - A Croatian Defence Ministry delegation headed by Assistant Minister Major General Vladimir Zagorec Sunday departed from Beijing after visiting China since June 16 on the invitation of the Chinese Defence Minister. Concrete cooperation in logistics has been established within Croatian-Chinese military relations, the Chinese chief of logistics Lt. Gen. Zuo Jiancheng said during his talks with Zagorec. Jiancheng agreed to visit Zagreb so that the Croatian and Chinese Defence Ministries may exchange experience in logistics. During the visit, Zagorec signed a memorandum on understanding on behalf of Republika Hrvatska - Alan, a state agency for import and export of arms and military equipment, thus starting cooperation between the Croatian and Chinese military industry. The memorandum regulates general business and technical cooperation between RH - Alan and Chinese counterpart Norinco (China North Industries Corporation), and envisages the development of technologies for third markets, cooperation in the manufacturing of explosives, powder and rocket missiles.
