LISBON, June 8 (Hina) - The marking of Croatia's national day, June
7, at the Expo 98 world exhibition in Lisbon ended with a
performance of Boris Papandopulo's "Croatian Mass in D-Minor"
Sunday evening.
Staged at the Jules Verne Concert Hall of the Camues Theatre, the
performance was attended by Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and
the delegation visiting Portugal.
The participation at this, the 100th Expo exhibition, was Croatia's
first presentation at a world exhibition as an independent state.
The theatrical performance will be repeated Monday at the
traditional festival in Estorilo, near Lisbon.
President Tudjman, who during his visit held successful talks with
Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio, and the Croatian delegation
are returning to Croatia Monday morning.
