PRISTINA, June 7 (Hina) - Three persons were injured Sunday when
Serbian police forcefully broke up a peaceful protest staged by
several thousand Kosovo Albanians in Pristina.
The Albanians have been holding protests against Serb terror and
violence for 57 days.
The Organisation Committee for protests, consisting of the
Democratic Union of Kosovo and 125 other political parties, on
Sunday condemned the brutal intervention of police.
The Committee called on Albanians to avoid provocation during the
protests, which are to continue, the Committee said.
Albanians are invited to gather on June 10 for protests all over
Kosovo which are to be held under the motto: "NATO in Kosovo".
Such protests will also take place the same day in Skopje, Tirana,
Bonn and several other European cities, the Organisation Committee
said.
