WASHINGTON, June 5 (Hina) - The World Bank has granted Bosnia-
Herzegovina a US $63 million loan for the implementation of key
reforms in the management of public finances, a statement from the
World Bank said on Thursday.
This is a non-interest loan, to be paid in 35 years, with a ten-year
postponement of the first payment.
The World Bank granted eight loans for the revival of the country's
war-destroyed economy in this budget year.
Good management of public finances is the main precondition for the
establishment of market economy in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the
statement said.
The World Bank loan is aimed at helping the state and its two
entities in preparing and adopting their budgets.
So far the World Bank has granted US $535 million to Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
