ZAGREB, June 4 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Thursday received the polish Foreign Minister and chairman of the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Bronislaw
Geremek.
The two stressed all conditions for intensifying the good
cooperation between the two countries in politics, culture, sports
and tourism existed.
They especially pointed out the similarities of Poland and Croatia
which, as central European countries, can have an important role in
the realisation of peace and stability over the whole continent.
Tudjman reiterated that it was Croatia's wish to become full member
of Euro-Atlantic associations, and stressed that Croatia would
continue its constructive cooperation with international
organisations, but as an equal collocutor, not as an object for
unrealistic requests.
Present at the meeting were also Croatian Foreign Minister Mate
Granic, Presidential Advisor for Foreign politics Neven Madey,
Presidential Deputy Chief-of-Staff Vesna Skare-Ozbolt and
Croatian Ambassador in Poland, Ivan Brnelic.
