ZAGREB, June 4 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation led by Economy
Minister Nenad Porges is participating at a meeting of state
leaders and premiers of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC),
which is taking place at Yalta on Thursday and Friday.
Croatia is attending the meeting in the capacity of the chairman of
the Central European Initiative (CEI).
BSEC members are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece,
Georgia, Moldavia, Rumania, Russia, Turkey and the Ukraine while
those with observer status are Austria, Egypt, Israel, Italy,
Poland, the Slovak Republic and Tunisia.
The BSEC was founded in 1992 with the aim of expanding and advancing
economic, technological and social development of member
countries, and especially strengthening economic and trade links,
as well as investment, transport, communications, energy, tourism,
environment protection and science.
One of the organisation's aims is the improvement of cooperation
with other regional and European associations.
