GENEVA, May 20 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges and
Israel's Minister for Industry and Trade Nathan Sharansky agreed on
Wednesday in Geneva that it is necessary to speed up negotiations on
formulating an agreement on economic cooperation and an agreement
on stimulation and protection of investment between Croatia and
Israel, as well as on the start of preparations for a free trade
agreement.
Porges also met with Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Andre
Goncuruk and they agreed to commence preparations for a free trade
agreement.
Croatian Assistant Economy Minister Neven Mimica had talks with
Dorothy Dwoskim, assistant to the United States' main trade
representative about the contents and dynamics of bilateral
negotiations on Croatia's entry to the World Trade Organisation.
The US side confirmed its readiness to continue negotiations at the
start of June this year.
