CONFLICTS IN KOSOVO MORE INTENSE

( Editorial: --> 7711 ) PRISTINA, May 29 (Hina) - During Friday's conflicts in several locations in Kosovo, more than six people were killed and several wounded on both sides, the Kosovo Information Centre reported Saturday. Albanian sources said one Kosovo Albanian was killed and three wounded in Serbian army and police attacks on Glogovac and several villages of the municipality. Serb forces have destroyed almost 80 per cent of Albanian houses in the village of Vukovce, and in the neighbouring village of Bogaj, only two houses remain. Sources of the leading Kosovo Albanian party, Democratic Union of Kosovo, reported that the Yugoslav army took part in Friday's attacks on the village of Komorane near Glogovac. In the Djakovica municipality, at least two Albanians and two Serb police officers were killed. The town of Djakovica is still under siege, nobody can get in or out of the town. Serb police have arrested two prominent members of the Democratic Union of Kosovo party presidency in Djakovica. The Kosovo Information Centre said a Serb was killed under unexplained circumstances in the village of Resnik on Friday, which was the cause of armed attacks by Serb troops on Kosovo Albanians. Serb forces are attacking the area of Drenica, where the village of Lausha was rocketed, wounding an Albanian. (hina) lml 301435 MET may 98
