ZAGREB, May 27 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa chaired the
constituent session of the Council of Ministers for European
Integration in Zagreb Wednesday, the Government's Communications
Office said in a statement.
Participating in the work of the Council of Ministers are the
European Integration Minister, Foreign Minister, Finance
Minister, Economy Minister and Justice Minister.
An Ordinance of the Office for European Integration was accepted at
the meeting, based on the standard model which has already been
accepted by certain countries in transition. It is adapted to the
particularities of the Republic of Croatia, said the statement.
The Council supported a programme for education and professional
training for jobs in the European integration process. The aim of
the programme is to train a certain number of experts who will in
government administration bodies work in jobs dealing with
integration.
The Council also adopted a proposal for the development of a plan of
activities of the Republic of Croatia for European Integration.
