ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - Moslavina Television will by the end of this
week, most likely, start broadcasting again as its management has
promised to return the TV transmitter to the place from which it
illegally moved it.
The Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications
will immediately give out new permits, once Moslavina TV return the
transmitter to the old location, said a Ministry statement.
The Ministry had earlier banned that independent TV station from
broadcasting.
Moslavina TV director Zvonimir Kabelka agreed that the state
telecommunications inspector had acted in accordance with the Law
on Telecommunications when he decided to ban the use of the station
because it did not have a valid permit, the statement mentions.
It was agreed that Moslavina TV's transmitter would eventually be
moved to a new location.
Earlier today Reporters Without Frontiers expressed concern over
the closing down of the TV station based in Kutina, 70km south-east
of Zagreb, and demanded that it start broadcasting again.
