LOWER HOUSE ENDS SHORTENED FIRST DAY OF 31ST SESSION

( Editorial: --> 5251 ) ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - The Croatian National Parliament's House of Representatives ended the first day of its three-day 31st session with a short debate on several agenda items. Wednesday's sitting was expected to discuss a vote of confidence in the newly-named Defence and Health Ministers, Andrija Hebrang and Zeljko Reiner, but the vote has been put off until Thursday because of government commitments. The lower house confirmed without debate the agenda of the 31st session which includes 22 items. The House of Representatives is expected to consider items including the final Family Law bill, a report on the status of the banking system and the work of the Public Defender.
