NATIONAL COUNCIL OF RULING HDZ PARTY HOLDS SESSION

( Editorial: --> 8251 ) ZAGREB, Apr 20 (Hina) - The National Council of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Monday held a session chaired by party president Franjo Tudjman. The session discussed a draft resolution on Croatia's international position and the care for refugees and displaced persons. The draft resolution is based on a debate held earlier and should be agreed on with benches of other parliamentary parties, and forwarded to the Croatian National Parliament's House of Representatives. The HDZ National Council launched an initiative for the functioning of the judiciary and efficiency of the legal order in Croatia to be discussed at the parliament. According to a statement from the HDZ General Secretariat, the party's National Council concluded that the programme declaration of the party's fourth general convention, held earlier this year, should be consistently implemented.
