VUKOVAR, May 20 (Hina) - Representatives of the international
community making up the Article 11 Commission on Wednesday visited
the eastern Croatian city of Vukovar.
The Article 11 Commission supervises the implementation of the
Erdut-Zagreb Agreement on the reintegration of the formerly
occupied Croatian areas.
After meeting local authorities from Vukovar, Ilok, Beli Manastir
and other Danube region municipalities, members of the Commission
held talks in Vukovar with members of the Croatian National Trust
Establishment Committee headed by chairwoman Vesna Skare-Ozbolt.
The meetings were held behind closed doors and a news conference was
announced for the afternoon.
Before the press conference, members of the Article 11 Commission
were to hold a meeting with representatives of the Joint Council of
(Serb) Municipalities.
They will also visit the New Cemetery in Vukovar where exhumations
of 1,200 persons buried in mass graves at the cemetery are ongoing.
