TIRANA, May 18 (Hina) - The Albanian government said Monday there
was no need for euphoric reactions after talks between Yugoslav
President Slobodan Milosevic and Kosovo Albanian leader Ibrahim
Rugova until Serbian forces are withdrawn from Kosovo.
The international community must not suspend sanctions on Belgrade
while the situation in Kosovo remains dramatic, the government
said.
Albanian government's spokesman Sokolj Gjoka said that the meeting
between Milosevic and Rugova was the first step towards a solution
to the Kosovo problem.
Tirana requested the international community to be present during
Albanian-Serb talks and to finally put a stop to the violence in
Kosovo, Gjoka said.
