MOSTAR, May 12 (Hina) - The European Commission has granted ECU
4.800,000 for the reconstruction of houses in Mostar's six
municipalities, the German government commissioner for the return
of Bosnian refugees, Dietmar Schlee, told reporters in Mostar on
Tuesday.
Schlee said this after today's meeting with Mostar Mayor Safet
Orucevic and his deputy Ivan Prskalo.
The German government has granted DM400,000 for the project of
reconstruction of houses in Mostar. The project is being conducted
by the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, Schlee said.
Schlee described as positive a plan on refugee return which was
adopted in Mostar recently.
The German government is very interested in its implementation
since some 10,000 refugees from Mostar are currently living in
Germany, Schlee added.
