THE HAGUE: ICTY OPENS SECOND TRIAL CHAMBER

( Editorial: --> 1666 ) THE HAGUE, May 5 (Hina) - The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) opened a second trial chamber on Tuesday. The chamber was built with the help of US$500,000 donated to ICTY by the United Kingdom. Trial Chamber II is smaller than the first one built in October 1994. It does not have a public gallery but a cabin inside the chamber with four seats for visitors. The ICTY president Gabrielle Kirk McDonalds announced that a third chamber will be opened at the end of June.
