ZAGREB, Apr 6 (Hina) - Croatian Chamber of Commerce president Nadan
Vidosevic Monday held talks with Croatia's honorary consul in
Ireland Gerrard Danaher and the president of the Irish-Croatian
Chamber, James Nugent.
The talks focused on economic cooperation between Croatia and
Ireland.
The Irish-Croatian Chamber was established in Dublin in May 1997 at
an initiative by a group of Irish businessmen from the Irish-
Croatian Friendship Society.
Vidosevic and his guests today agreed that Croatian and Irish
businessmen should in mid September discuss concrete possibilities
for business cooperation between the two countries.
A special role was ascribed to Croatia's tourist offer, as before
the war up to 50,000 Irish tourists would spend their holidays along
the Croatian coast.
It was also decided to assess the possibility of lobbying the Irish
government to cancel visas for Croatian businessmen and the
possibility of direct sale of Croatian product on Irish market.
