SARAJEVO, April 30 (Hina) - Sarajevo's Catholic Education Centre
has appealed to the High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina and
the Federation Interior Ministry for protection over frequent
threatening and maltreatment of pupils and the staff.
In a letter to HR Carlos Westendorp, Federation of BH (FBH) Deputy
Interior Minister Jozo Leutar and the FBH Ombudsmen, Centre
principal Pero Pranjic says that pupils have been attacked by
hooligans who congregate around the centre, while the staff had
received telephone threats and verbal abuse.
The principal warned that the problems started several months ago
and that the Sarajevo police did not intervene efficiently to
apprehend the hooligans and stop the maltreatment, in spite of
several appeals for help by the principal.
