SARAJEVO, April 17 (Hina) - An official of the Mission of the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Larry Sampler, was appointed Thursday as head
of the Srebrenica authority.
Sampler was nominated president of the temporary executive board of
Srebrenica which also consists of two Bosniac and two Serb
representatives, the OSCE said in a statement.
The establishment of this body has been ordered by the arbitration
decision of the OSCE Mission chief, Robert Barry, and international
high representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Carlos Westendorp.
The municipal authority of Srebrenica which was elected last
September was suspended after a number of failed attempts to make it
functional.
The Serbs side appointed Danko Mirovic as head of the finance and
economy department in Srebrenica, and Rade Golic as head of the
administration and public services department.
The Bosniac side appointed Nesib Mandzic as head of the urban
planning and housing department and Abdurhman Malkic as head of the
reconstruction and development department.
