BOSNIA ESTABLISHES RAILROAD CORPORATION

( Editorial: --> 5001 ) SARAJEVO, Apr 6 (Hina) - An agreement on the establishment of Railway Corporation Bosnia-Herzegovina was signed Monday by the Premiers of the Croat-Muslim Federation of BH and the Bosnian Serb entity, Edhem Bicakcic and Milorad Dodik. The Corporation was established on the basis of Annexe Nine of the Dayton peace agreement, to the effect of restoring railroad transport across the whole territory of BH. The establishment of Railway Corporation Bosnia-Herzegovina is a step of outstanding importance in the implementation of the peace process, international High Representative for BH Carlos Westendorp told reporters after the agreement was signed in Sarajevo. He called on the authorities of Bosnia's two entities to establish corporations in post and telecommunications, power supply and public communications by year's end. The restoration of railroad transport will open thousands of new jobs, Federation Premier Bicakcic told reporters. Bosnian Serb Premier Dodik said the restoration of railroad transport is the best signal of his government's willingness to fully implement the Dayton agreement.
