ROME, Apr 3 (Hina/AR) - The Croatian National Parliament
delegation's first visit to Italy has been very useful for future
cooperation between the two countries, Parliament president Vlatko
Pavletic said Friday.
During the visit, the two parties agreed to hold meetings between
Croatian and Italian parliament committees for foreign affairs,
economy and ecology. Croatian lawyers and representatives
preparing parliament statutes and rules of behaviour for
representatives should visit the Italian Lower House.
Yesterday Croatian parliamentarians held talks with Italian Lower
House president Luciano Violante and other representatives. Talks
focused on constitutional issues, the activities of Italian
parliament representatives, the parliament's work, and a new law
which will enable Italians abroad to vote.
Pavletic assessed the visit as a good experience and suggested that
some ideas should be brought before the Croatian parliament.
Italy's Violante promised that his country would support Croatia's
aspirations to access European integrations.
