COLOGNE, April 1 (Hina) - An exhibition of works of contemporary
Croatian artists was opened at the headquarters of one of Germany's
leading broadcasters Radio Deutsche Welle in Cologne on Tuesday.
The exhibition, entitled "The Croatian Sea", includes paintings,
sculptures, video installations and photographs.
The event was organised by the Croatian Embassy in Bonn and Radio
Deutsche Welle.
Despite shelling and destruction of its internationally recognised
cultural heritage, Dubrovnik - the jewel of the Croatian Adriatic
coast and a symbol of Croatian culture, to whom most of the exhibits
are dedicated - is ready to show its beauty to tourists and well-
meaning visitors, said Croatia's Ambassador to Germany Zoran Jasic
opening the exhibition.
The exhibition presents an additional impulse to discovering the
culture, history and architecture not only of Dubrovnik but of
other Adriatic towns, Jaksic said.
