KARLOVAC, March 26 (Hina) - The Karlovac Municipal Council on
Thursday discussed problems in the process of two-way return in the
area of Karlovac, 50km south-west of Zagreb.
About 4,300 Serbs have returned to the Karlovac area, it was said at
the session.
The municipal Commission for Return of Property has so far
processed 90 cases, said Karlovac Mayor Josip Zaborski.
About 1,000 Croats from Bosnia-Herzegovina are accommodated in
several villages around Karlovac, with 4,000 Bosnian Croats living
in the wider Karlovac area.
Independent councillor Mile Sokolic said that many of them, who
were accommodated on the basis of temporary certificates, were
being pressured by Serb owners, returnees from the Croatian
Danubian region and Serbia.
