GLINA, March 11 (Hina) - Seven hundred and fifty Serbs have returned
to the Glina area from the Croatian Danube region.
Out of that number, 250 have returned in line with the agreement on
the two-way return while the rest returned in an unorganised
manner.
Out of 181 requests for the return of property, 85 were solved
positively, it was said at Wednesday's meeting between Glina mayor
Marko Sremic, the coordinator of the Porec Centre for Civic
Initiatives, Biserka Momcinovic, the head of the Serb Democratic
Forum in Vojnic, Ninko Minic, and an observer of the regional office
of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Topusko,
Melinda Lord.
The Glina mayor said that town authorities had done all they could
to remove difficulties encountered by Serbs who were returning from
the Danubian region, Yugoslavia and Republika Srpska.
