BRCKO, March 23 (Hina) - Bosniak (Muslim) and Croat representatives
in the multi-ethnic authority in Brcko on Monday returned to their
working places, the international Supervisor's Office in the
northern Bosnian town said.
Dissatisfied with a recent decision to again defer a final solution
to the Brcko issue, the representatives withdrew from their
positions in the multi-ethnic authority in the Serb-controlled
town.
An arbitration commission headed by Roberts Owen released its
latest decision on the status of Brcko on March 15.
Acting Supervisor for Brcko, Ian McLeod, said the Bosniak and Croat
representatives would not be penalised for not arriving to their
work places.
Brcko had a pre-war population comprising a large majority of
Bosniaks and Croats.
