ZAGREB, March 19 (Hina) - The third, annual Croatian Financial
Forum, was opened on Thursday by Premier Zlatko Matesa at which 90
exhibitors are participating, 30 per cent more than last year.
Matesa said that the period for creating a legal framework for the
financial sector is in the past and that Croatia is now entering a
new period which will be marked with less government intervention
and more control of financial operations.
The Forum which will run until 21 March includes exhibitions by
banks, the Zagreb Stock Exchange, Varazdin Securities Market,
stock brokers, financial information services, publishers of
business newspapers and information technology companies.
