ZAGREB, March 20 (Hina) - Good political relations between Croatia
and Hungary should be directed to fostering better economic
relations, said the Minister for Development and Reconstruction
Jure Radic in talks with the Hungarian Minister for Privatisation
Judit Csiha.
Csiha is heading a Hungarian delegation which arrived in Croatia on
Friday.
Radic informed the Hungarian delegation about the Conference for
Reconstruction and Development to be held in Croatia in May and
added that the Hungarian interest for reconstruction of Croatia is
well known.
They discussed the building of a motorway from the Hungarian border
to the Croatian port city of Rijeka, which should be completed in
the year 2000.
Csiha also talked with the Croatian Privatisation Minister Milan
Kovac. He said the Hungarian experience in privatisation is
invaluable for Croatia, especially for large companies.
During the meeting Croatian representatives were appointed who
will participate in the completion of a draft cooperation agreement
between Croatia and Hungary, which has been underway for a year.
The agreement should be signed at the Conference of European
Privatisation Ministers to be held in April in Budapest.
