PRISTINA, March 14 (Hina) - As of Friday Serbian authorities have
not been allowing about 10 foreign news teams, accommodated in
Pristina's Hotel Grand, to broadcast television reports via a
satellite transmitter.
Some foreign TV crews, which arrived in Kosovo in recent days
brought their own satellite transmitters with them. One Austrian
company, specialising in satellite transmission of reports from
the field, installed their antenna on top of Hotel Grand, to
transmit reports for other television crews.
Serbian authorities stopped that company from transmitting, their
reason being that the company did not have approval.
The foreign TV crews have been left with no option but to send their
reports via Pristina Television.
