ZAGREB, Mar 12 (Hina) - The government has drafted two bills under
which the law on the management of abandoned property and the law on
flat-leasing in war-affected areas would no longer be valid,
Croatian Minister for European Integrations Ljerka Mintas-Hodak
told reporters in Zagreb Thursday.
The matter has been discussed with Serbian representatives and they
agree, Mintas-Hodak said, adding they also agreed to continue
drawing up other acts.
Learning from experience with a former regulation on flat-leasing
in the Danube river region of eastern Croatia, the government
assessed that the rescinding of the two said laws should also be
discussed with representatives of the international community,
especially those of the Organisation for Cooperation and Security
in Europe.
It was agreed to carry out these discussions before the laws are
passed.
Mintas-Hodak said the bills on the rescinding of the law on the
management of abandoned property and the law on flat-leasing in
war-affected areas would probably be sent to the next session of the
parliament's lower house.
