PRISTINA, March 8 (Hina) - The situation in the village of Drenica,
Kosovo, was mainly calm last night.
Sporadic shooting could be heard and movements of Serbian forces
were spotted, Kosovo Albanian sources reported.
The Kosovo Committee for Human Rights and Freedoms late last night
published the names of 34 Albanians killed in the Srbica
municipality in the past 48 hours.
Among the names of 25 members of the Jasari family is the name of
Adem Jasari, one of the Albanian rebel leaders from Drenica.
The Kosovo Democratic Alliance sources claim that Serb
paramilitary forces of Zeljko Raznjatovic-Arkan are in the area.
The number of killed in Srbica, particularly in the villages of
Donji Prekaz and Llausa, which were the sites of the most fierce
clashes, is still unknown.
The villages of Jasaraj, Lustaku and Kodra were razed to the
ground.
Several thousands villagers have fled the area of Drenica, Albanian
sources in Kosovo claim.
