SARAJEVO, Feb 27 (Hina) - The Sarajevo daily Dnevni Avaz on Friday
published an interview with the Deputy High Representative for the
implementation of the Dayton Accord, Jacques Klein, entitled "HDZ
Will Share Pale's Fate in the End".
The interview levels sharp criticism at the Croatian Democratic
Union in Bosnia-Herzegovina and expresses disapproval of certain
steps taken by the Zagreb Government.
They are worried about Croats leaving Bosnia-Herzegovina - but
instead of working with us on this problem, they are so
uncooperative and obstructive that they make the Croats' position
even more difficult, Klein said, referring to the HDZ leadership in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Klein also voiced his disapproval of certain moves and statements
by the Zagreb Government, describing President Tudjman's speech at
the HDZ Convention last Saturday as not the least bit helpful.
He said the Bosnian HDZ, like the Pale Serbs, had failed to realise
the seriousness of the situation.
We will treat the HDZ in the same way as we treated Pale - we want the
Croats to feel safe in this construction called Bosnia, he said.
At the end of the interview, Klein discussed the Muslim-led Party of
Democratic Action (SDA). He said the situation in the SDA was not
much better because there were no democrats.
