TUZLA, Feb 26 (Hina) - After six years, the first train set out from
Tuzla (northern Bosnia) via Sarajevo and Doboj to the Croatian port
of Ploce on Thursday morning.
In 17 of its 35 wagons the train is carrying coal from the Tuzla coal
mine for the central heating system in Sarajevo, while the other 18
wagons will be loaded with wheat in Ploce for the central bakery in
Tuzla.
The departure of the train from Tuzla marked the opening of the
Tuzla-Ploce railway line. As of today, trains will travel regularly
along this railway line, representatives of the Railways of Bosnia-
Herzegovina said.
The reconstruction of destroyed railway stations is underway so
that passenger trains could travel soon along the same railway
line.
