SARAJEVO, Feb 18 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Presidency of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kresimir Zubak, on Tuesday requested a deeper
involvement of the Office of the International High Representative
in Bosnia, Carlos Westendorp, so that the return of displaced
Croats to the municipality of Kakanj, central Bosnia, could be
expedited.
During his meeting with Westendorp's deputy, Hanns Schumacher,
Zubak had received a promise that Schumacher would visit Kakanj
which used to be populated by Croats before the war, as well as
displaced persons from Kakanj who are temporarily living in
Capljina (south Bosnia), Zubak's office said on Wednesday.
Zubak on Monday received a delegation of Croats from Kakanj who
informed him about problems concerning their return to their pre-
war homes.
Schumacher said on Wednesday that he would do everything on his part
to expedite the return of these people.
