PRISTINA, Feb 16 (Hina) - Serbian police killed an Albanian while he
was at work in a local transformer station some 30km from Pristina,
the Kosovo Committee for the Protection of Human Rights and
Freedoms said on Monday.
According to the Committee, police interrogated the victim,
Abdulah Nikaj (aged 46), about the Kosovo Liberation Army (KOV).
Nikaj is this year's third victim of the Serbian police, the
Committee said.
Nikaj's family claims that Nikaj had been taunted by a Serbian
police officer a day before his death.
Serbian state media stated Monday that Nikaj was a victim of the
KOV, which threatened him because he worked in a state-owned
company.
So far, Serbian police have not released any official statement on
the incident.
