WASHINGTON, Feb 6 (Hina) - Croatian Reconstruction and Development
Minister Jure Radic held talks with US President Bill Clinton
during the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday.
Radic was among some 20 guests who got a chance to speak with Clinton
or Vice-President Al Gore.
Radic relayed greetings to Clinton from Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman and expressed his gratitude for help in the realisation of
the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area, the
Croatian Embassy said in a statement.
Radic conveyed information about reconstruction programmes and
suggested to Clinton a stronger and more tangible cooperation in
the field, as well as in the realisation of big infrasturctural
projects in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
President Clinton also expressed satisfaction about the success of
the peaceful reintegration and expressed the readiness of the
United States to help Croatia in the process of reconstruction and
return of displaced persons, the Embassy said.
Attending the National Prayer Breakfast were also Croatian
Ambassador to the United States, Miomir Zuzul and Croatian
Ambassador to India, Drago Stambuk.
